Sercel has been awarded, together with Thales, the GICAN prize for defense innovation at the 4th edition of the "Operation i-Naval" event held on July 7 in Toulon France.
The event aims to accelerate the introduction of high-performance equipment and to identify innovation of potential future interest to the defense industry that can be made available via cutting-edge technologies.
Thales and Sercel presented ACOM-NET, a discrete and robust acoustic underwater connectivity solution that creates and maintains a vital link for collaborative surface and subsurface combat operations when radio communication is not possible. ACOM-NET is based on the implementation of Sercel’s MATS modems and gateways in fixed or dynamic devices deployed in the theatre of operations.
